We’re not only our occupation. One should always try to balance work and life.
It’s very interesting to me to find out what people do and are passionate about when they are not doing research. This is the other “stuff“ in our lives.
I enjoy going to new places, seeing other cities and meeting new cultures. I do believe that such experiences make us better and more open-minded.
I love exploring nature - hiking, walking, cycling, photographing, stargazing and bird-watching, you name it.
But I also like creating my own nature and world - I draw, paint, sketch, sculpt and 3D-print. Keeping your hands busy is a great way of letting your brain recharge after using it the whole day at work :)
I’m all for any kind of escapism in my free time - reading books and comics filled with fantasy and sci-fi, playing games with my friends and alone.
